I’m Brit — the maker behind CYL Gifts, short for Color Your Life.

I’m the oldest of seven children, and like many of us, I grew up believing that success meant climbing the corporate ladder. I followed the plan. I went to college. Then I went again. And again. Somewhere along the way, I collected four (maybe five) degrees and a picture-perfect idea of what “making it” was supposed to look like.

From the outside, the corporate dream looked glamorous — corner offices, polished titles, respectability. But when I finally got there, it felt like a slow, colorless march. The gray walls, the khakis, the endless meetings — it all weighed on me until I realized something important:

Success isn’t about a title.
It’s about joy.

Life is about finding the little things that make everything else worthwhile — people, places, passions, and moments that make you feel like you can finally breathe. Bright colors made me happy. Creating things with my hands made me happy. Making other people smile made me happy.

So I stepped away from the path I was “supposed” to want and started building something that felt like me.

CYL Gifts was born from the idea that color, creativity, and kindness belong in everyday life. Every candle, piece of jewelry, tea blend, or handmade item is designed to bring a little brightness into your world — because we all deserve moments of joy, no matter how small.
